The view is described:
Looking down at Akaroa Harbour from the hills on the south side of the town. The area is pastoral, with sheep grazing all around. The picturesque town was a French Colonial town in the nineteenth century.
Michelle noted: "Akaroa is one of my favourite places, showing the town of Akaroa across the hills from Christchurch, where I live. It is a pretty wee town. Many of the buildings and streets have French names because it was first settled by the French. It is a wonderful place to spend a week-end - lovely and relaxing!"
